Dollar falls broadly; forint jumps 1.9%, franc rises

The dollar weakened broadly on Thursday, with the euro up 0.35% to 1.1629 and sterling gaining 0.29% to 1.3528. The Swiss franc strengthened 0.67% against the dollar, while the Hungarian forint surged 1.90%. Commodity currencies and Nordic currencies also advanced, though the Turkish lira and Brazilian real slipped.
