TREE NEWS update: Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun said at the 2026 Xiaomi autumn flagship launch event on Sept 7 that the company has invested 21 billion yuan in chip development so far, part of a planned 500 billion yuan over 10 years. He noted the Xuanjie O3 chip is now in commercial use, with O100 and D100 models expected in the first half of next year.
