Paramount Skydance and State AGs Ordered to Meet in Late October in $110 Billion WBD Lawsuit

A federal magistrate judge has ordered Paramount Skydance and a group of state attorneys general challenging its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery to set a meeting date in late October to negotiate a possible settlement of the lawsuit. WGA West will also take part in the talks, held before San Francisco federal Magistrate Judge Thomas Hixson. A spokesperson for California Attorney General Rob Bonta said the court-ordered meeting merely means the judge asked the parties to meet and does not indicate that a settlement is in progress.
