China’s national supercomputing internet tops 1.7M users

The headline number matters less than the composition: a national platform aggregating millions of cores and a quarter-million GPUs, with domestic hardware above 95%, is a demand-side signal for China's own accelerator supply chain. For RWA and crypto markets, the relevant read-through is infrastructure, not tokens — sovereign compute pools of this scale shape where AI workloads, and eventually tokenized compute or data assets, get hosted. Whether the domestic share keeps rising as GPU counts grow, and whether the platform opens to commercial or cross-border users, is the open question worth watching.
