Ansem Turns Bullish on PUMP for Q4, Sees Early-Stage Crypto Bull Market

Trader Ansem sees a constructive Q4 for crypto despite a likely October pullback and open-interest washout, naming PUMP as his top pick with a target above $0.01. He also flags ZEC's parabolic run and says BTC, ETH, and SOL remain healthy at range highs while most traders stay mispositioned.

Trader Ansem Bets on PUMP as Q4 Crypto Outlook Turns Constructive

Cryptocurrency trader Ansem has issued a bullish fourth-quarter outlook for digital assets, arguing that despite the likelihood of a near-term pullback in October, the broader market remains in an early-stage bull cycle. In a post on X, Ansem said he expects an October correction and a washout of open interest (OI), but views such a move as a healthy reset rather than a trend reversal.

The primary risks to the rally remain interest rates, geopolitical conflict, and a strong U.S. dollar index (DXY). He cautioned that chasing the market with high leverage is risky at this stage, while high-conviction spot positions offer a more favorable risk-reward profile.

Why PUMP Is the Top Pick

Ansem identified PUMP as his highest-conviction bet, describing the token as undervalued despite a roughly 5x gain from its summer lows. He said he recently rotated part of his Solana (SOL) holdings into PUMP, targeting a weekly close above $0.0055 and a subsequent push beyond $0.01.

Key factors behind the thesis include:

  • A long-term accumulation phase and ongoing buyback mechanism supporting the token.
  • Growing traction for PUMP’s cross-chain mobile application.
  • Momentum in on-chain and centralized exchange (CEX) altcoins where undervalued opportunities persist.

Ansem argued that a PUMP breakout to new all-time highs would open higher valuation space for newly issued tokens across the market, reinforcing its role as a bellwether for the altcoin segment.

ZEC and the Broader Altcoin Picture

The trader also highlighted ZEC, which has rallied from around $40 in September 2025 to a $400–$1,600 range in Q3 2026, with its market capitalization expanding from roughly $500 million to $20 billion. He compared ZEC’s current volatility to Bitcoin’s 2017 cycle, warning that sharper rallies and deeper drawdowns may lie ahead.

On the majors, Ansem noted that BTC, ETH, and SOL are all holding the upper end of their ranges with healthy price action. While no large-scale liquidation event has occurred, he believes most market participants remain incorrectly positioned, leaving room for further upside.

Forward-Looking Perspective

The call reflects a broader debate about whether crypto’s current advance is a mature rally or still in its early innings. If Ansem’s thesis holds, Q4 could see a rotation from majors into high-beta altcoins like PUMP, with volatility serving as both risk and opportunity. The key variables to watch are DXY strength, rate expectations, and whether October’s expected OI flush materializes as a buying opportunity rather than the start of a deeper correction.
