TREE NEWS update: Kioxia plans to deploy CXL modules designed for AI workloads to speed up NAND flash processing and substitute for some DRAM. At a recent technical briefing, the company said the modules can cut data read times to under one-tenth of conventional products, approaching DRAM performance. Replacing part of DRAM with CXL modules could double capacity and boost performance by 30%.
