TREE NEWS update: Aztec has announced approval of its V6 upgrade, which speeds Ethereum-to-Aztec messaging and funds 30 days of V5 operation during the migration. The governance dashboard, however, still lists voting as open and shows October 26 for execution. The proposal’s approval was confirmed despite the dashboard’s status.

The timing gap between confirmed approval and a dashboard still showing voting open is the real story here for Aztec's governance credibility, not the upgrade itself. For a privacy-focused rollup, predictable execution matters to users bridging from Ethereum and to anyone depending on the V5 wind-down. The open question is whether the dashboard catches up before the stated execution date, or whether this becomes a precedent for announcing outcomes ahead of the official record.
