TREE NEWS update: China Coast Guard spokesperson Jiang Lue said on September 3 that the Putuoshan ship formation conducted routine law-enforcement patrols east of Taiwan Island. Since August, the formation has strengthened control over related waters, safeguarding navigation and operations, and protecting the legitimate rights of Chinese nationals, including Taiwanese compatriots. The Coast Guard will continue patrols to uphold national sovereignty.
