Chinese academician: LFP batteries to dominate for a decade

TREE NEWS reports: Ouyang Minggao, a CAS academician, said at the 2026 World Power Battery Conference that lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries will remain dominant for the next decade. He stressed both high-energy liquid/solid-state and low-cost LFP/sodium-ion routes are equally vital for China’s battery industry.
