BOJ leans to hike rates 25bp this month, keep flexibility

The Bank of Japan is leaning toward raising its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points this month. Officials will consider lifting the policy rate from 1% at the two-day meeting ending September 18, citing upside inflation risks, rising service prices and a weak yen.
