TREE NEWS reports: Preliminary data show China’s passenger car retail sales totaled 1.626 million units in August, down 19% year-on-year but up 11% from July. Wholesale volumes reached 2.369 million units, down 5% YoY and up 5% month-on-month. Year-to-date retail sales fell 20% to 11.799 million units, while wholesale dropped 5% to 17.179 million.
