TREE NEWS update: Chery Holding Chairman Yin Tongyue said on Sept. 3 at the 2026 World Power Battery Conference that its Rhino battery series includes solid-state cells with an energy density of 400Wh/kg. The semi-solid version is slated for vehicle installation in Q4 2026, while full solid-state batteries will undergo on-vehicle validation in 2027, adhering to a principle of ‘no installation until proven safe.’
