TREE NEWS update: China’s drug regulator has conditionally approved Aipuswei (hydrochloride istevir), a COVID-19 treatment for adults with mild-to-moderate infection, developed by Westlake University, Westlake Laboratory, and Westlake Pharmaceuticals. It is China’s first original drug developed with AI assistance, from discovery to clinical trial completion in just three and a half years.
