Microsoft Launches AI-Assisted WinUI Development Guide

TREE NEWS update: Microsoft has introduced an AI-based WinUI development and migration solution aimed at reducing reliance on web-wrapper apps like WebView2 and Electron on Windows 11. Using tools such as VS Code, Windows App Development CLI, WinUI templates, and GitHub Copilot, developers can generate and publish a WinUI 3 native app from an empty folder in about 30 minutes. The solution also provides AI-assisted migration guidance for WPF and UWP apps, including mapping tables for controls, threading, window management, DPI, and data binding.
