Aave founder and CEO Stani said on X that the protocol’s core measure of its addressable market is “addressable collateral” — the wider the pool of assets usable as collateral, the larger the potential lending market. Aave began with crypto lending, expanded into securities via Coinbase Tokenized Stocks and Horizon RWA, and will extend to solar, batteries, GPUs, robotics and space infrastructure, a shift he expects to run to 2050.

Bitget’s CEO said the exchange has publicly disclosed and is tracking addresses tied to its attacker, and has formally asked THORChain to deny service to those addresses. Decentralization is a design principle and should not serve as a shield for handling known stolen funds, the CEO said, adding that the whole industry is watching.

Solana’s Alpenglow consensus upgrade went live on Testnet on September 24 and on Devnet on September 25, and is now running on both public test networks so app teams can check compatibility before mainnet. Alpenglow aims to cut finality from roughly 12.8 seconds to about 150 milliseconds by having validators exchange votes directly rather than writing them into blocks as transactions. The 150ms figure is a simulation target, not yet verified on mainnet, and the Solana Foundation said vote-based transaction counts may fall after the upgrade without necessarily reducing user payments or volume.
