TREE NEWS reports: Researchers at the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, led by Professor Xie Peng, have advanced multidimensional multiplexed optical computing. Building on their ‘Meteor-1’ ultra-high-parallel optical computing chip, they integrated wavelength- and space-division multiplexing with shared multi-task matrix networks. The architecture enables parallel processing of multi-task, multimodal information, validated in remote sensing image registration and recognition. Findings were published in Laser & Photonics Reviews.
